Can you believe it’s already December? This is such a busy and exciting month. We’ll be finishing up the last class session of the year in the next few weeks culminating in the ‘Show and Tell’ of our teapots. I really threw everyone in the deep end with this project and it’s delightful to see how everyone’s been rising to the challenge. We still have to glaze them, but I’m excited to see how these creations will turn out!
Following another December tradition… It’s time for the fabulous Fairfax Craft Faire again!
December 9th from 11-5
in the Fairfax Pavilion
I’ll be there with other wonderful craftspeople and all my newest work.
Lately, I’ve been throwing porcelain and then finishing it by hand with one of my favorite techniques-fluting.
Stop by, see the new work, and possibly find the perfect holiday gifts for everyone on your list!
Ceramic Subscriptions ending December 10th
I still have ceramic subscriptions available until December 10th! If you’ re wondering what a ceramic subscription is, here’s how it works.
Just like a magazine subscription, you pay once at a discounted price and get deliveries throughout the year. Only, instead of copies of National Geographic or People–you get cups, mugs, and tumblers arriving at your house.
The Winter Cup will be the first to arrive starting in early January, then a new one every three months, so another in April, July and October. I don’t know what they will look like but I know they will hold between 12-16 ounces and be beautiful!
You will get four surprise packages throughout the year, or if you live in my area, you can visit the studio and pick the one you like from the group. I’ll ship them anywhere in the U.S. as part of the subscription, however if you live in Alaska or Hawaii there will be a small extra shipping fee. They would make a great gift for someone who appreciates handmade things either as a complete subscription or individually as you receive them.
The mugs will be equivalent to the ones I normally price at $50 but the subscription price will be $180 for the whole package, including shipping if needed.
I will stop accepting subscriptions after December 10th or when I reach twenty, which ever comes first! If you’d love to receive mugs, four times a year or want to give this subscription as a gift to someone who would appreciate it, visit my shop page and click ceramic subscription.
