It Sure Feels Like Summer!
It sure feels like summer around here and since I haven’t been working, I feel a bit like a kid again! Summer makes me think of care free days, watermelon and when I was a teenager-sun bathing and fashion mags! Now it’s all sunscreen, fans and avoiding the heat. But I still love watermelon.
I’m able to walk with one crutch now and I’m feeling stronger in my injured leg all the time. I spend a lot of time thinking about how I’m walking as I move around. It’s pretty funny, I never had to concentrate this much to walk before!
There is another check up in three weeks to evaluate how I’m progressing. While I still have some numbness and tightness my strength and flexiblity is improving. Hopefully they will say everything is fabulous! Thank you all so much for your support during this time. I really, really couldn’t have done it without your help!!

Summertime also feels like a break from our regular schedules. In my day, summer school was for enrichment classes and that’s where I had my first taste of ceramics. Summer classes should be for learning new and different things! Maybe it’s a deep dive into something you’ve always wanted to learn or new territory altogether.
I’ve been feeling expansive and have this urge to extend the two lines of ware I already make. I want to go more ‘Coastal’ and more color! Maybe I need platters to serve piles of corn on the cob, or big bowls for crisp salads, or little bowls for cold soup. Don’t forget pitchers and jugs for ice tea and Sangria!

Summertime is here and gone before you know it. So don’t forget to enjoy that relaxed feeling and some watermelon too!
